FAQ

Is it the motor or the regulator?

If you hear the motor running but the glass does not move, the regulator mechanism or its cable has failed. Complete silence with no sound at all when pressing the switch points instead to the motor, switch or wiring.

Why do cable-type regulators fail?

The thin steel cable frays where it winds on the drum, then jams or snaps and lets the glass drop. It is a wear item on high-use doors — the driver window typically fails first because it cycles far more than the others.
