FAQ
How often should the air filter be replaced?
The book figure is usually 15,000–20,000 km, but dust is the real variable. Frequent driving on unpaved roads or through desert dust can halve that — inspect it visually rather than trusting the interval alone.
Can I clean a paper air filter and reuse it?
Tapping out loose dust is fine once, but compressed air tears the paper fibres and creates gaps that let grit through. Paper filters are consumables; only oiled cotton filters are designed to be washed.
